Katy Akopjan

Development Division

Katy Akopjan works in the Development Division for the Empire Mock Trial Association.  She organizes marketing projects focused on the recruitment of volunteer judges and leads fundraising research.  She is also currently the Student Coordinator for EMTA & NYU’s Downtown Invitational Classic.

Katy is a senior at New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences, double majoring in English Literature and History. She is planning to enter law school in Fall 2012. She also interns at Golub & Isabel P.C, an environmental law firm specializing in commercial litigation and related transactional work.

Katy’s involvement in high school speech and debate led her to try out for the NYU Mock Trial Team, which she fell in love with immediately.  Katy has been a dedicated captain since her freshman year of college and currently serves on the executive board as Vice President.
