Danielle Waugh

Director of Public Relations & Multimedia

Danielle Waugh has been the Public Relations Director of the Empire Mock Trial Association since June of 2010. In addition to assisting with tournament preparations, she creates all of the multimedia content for the Empire, including the promotional videos and “pump up” videos for the invitational’s Opening Ceremonies. She also writes web articles for empiremocktrial.org and manages the Empire’s social media accounts.

Danielle currently works for NBC affiliate WLBZ in Bangor, Maine as a Multimedia Journalist. Before that, she was a bureau reporter for ABC News On Campus and had her work air on network shows such as Good Morning America and World News with Diane Sawyer. She graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and American History in 2011.

Her role at the Empire combines her love for both mock trial and multimedia. A mocker since high school, her Greensburg Salem mock trial team won three consecutive Pennsylvania state championships in 2005, 2006, and 2007, placing 12th, 4th, and 14th at High School Nationals respectively. In both 2006 and 2007, Danielle was honored as an Outstanding Attorney nationally. At the collegiate level, her Syracuse University mock trial won a regional championship and had three appearances at the national tournament. In 2011, she won an All-National attorney award.
